The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement (MAACM) is the only museum in the world dedicated solely to the American Arts and Crafts movement. MAACM was built to house one of the most important collections of American Arts and Crafts, owned by The Two Red Roses Foundation. Consisting of more than 2,000 objects, the TRRF’s remarkable collection represents the full range of decorative and fine art produced by the most noteworthy artists, craftsmen, and companies related to the movement, including furniture, pottery, tiles, metalwork, lighting, textiles, leaded glass, woodblock prints, paintings, and photographs. Artists, craftsmen, and companies represented in the collection include Gustav Stickley, the Stickley Brothers, Charles Rohlfs, the Byrdcliffe Colony, the Roycrofters, Dirk Van Erp, William Grueby, the Saturday Evening Girls, Rookwood Pottery, Tiffany Studios, Newcomb Pottery, Marblehead Potteries, Frederick Hurten Rhead, Adelaide Alsop Robineau, Frederick Walrath, the Overbeck Sisters, Margaret Patterson, and Arthur Wesley Dow. More than 800 works of art from the TRRF Collection are on display inside and outside MAACM. Through permanent collection galleries, historic room recreations, and three temporary exhibition spaces, MAACM presents the tenets of this significant reform movement—creating beauty through simplicity, honesty, and natural materials—and demonstrates how these values have endured.

The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement’s Audio Tour App features over 100 audio tour stops from the Museum’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Each audio tour stop features a high-resolution image that users can pinch and zoom to examine details of the work of art, as well as audio and text. This app can be enjoyed by museum guests near and far, before, during, and after their visit.

Please be sure to bring your headphones to the museum if you want to enjoy the app on-site. Headphones are also available for purchase at the admission desk.
